Mazda MX-5ND in "Ceramic"
Discussion
During my time working at a Mazda main dealer (2006-2012) I demonstrated many MX-5s to potential customers. The NC was quite new back then and we had a few nice NBs too for sale. Needless to say, many enjoyed their MX-5 experience and bought in..
I decided at some point that I would own an MX-5, and on July the 16th this year it finally happened with the purchase of this 2018 ND.
Whilst looking at what cars were out there, I found this one in "Ceramic" and just had to buy it! Really like this colour very much and is just great fun out on the road...!

[quote=dunc69]Very, very nice. The MX5 is an itch I’d like to scratch one day, probably once the kids have left home.
Thanks very much. Is funny you should say that - When I used to demonstrate them, it was to people either "pre-kids", or those who have had them that have grown up, and normally left home..!

I like that, you even have my initials! I have a standard Mk2 and a standard 150bhp BBR Mk 1 and a modded 204bhp BBR Mk1. I also worked for a Mazda main dealer..?
Thank you. Had I not worked at a Mazda dealership I'd have never thought, yet alone considered an MX-5! Soon as I drove one I was sold and absolutely love them..! I've had the plate for over 16 years now... nothing flash, but not crap either - just personalised...!renmure said:
That looks great with the optional aero kit.
I bought an ex-demo in Soul Red and the first thing I did was have the kit fitted to just sharpen up the lines. I'd an NC previously but the newer shape is just much better in my eyes. Enjoy!
Thanks.. The aero-kit just adds a nice finishing touch, but the colour just got me completely - soon as I saw the pics in the ad. I wanted it! All good and enjoying it so far....!I bought an ex-demo in Soul Red and the first thing I did was have the kit fitted to just sharpen up the lines. Make sure to keep the salt out of all the hard-to-reach places over winter then get it waxoyled or similar in Spring - I do believe that rusty NDs have already been seen!
That’s a good point and getting my car under sealed was another thing I did within the first couple of weeks of buy it. RSTurboPaul said:

Thankfully as I'm not working at the moment, mine is pretty much a toy!, but is something I am considering in the New Year when we can get out more post-covid.. (But salty roads are avoided by just walking down to the shop..!)CeramicMX5ND2 said:

Looking good
No reason not to have the roof down if it's not sunny, though - heater on, drive a bit faster if it's raining

Thanks Paul.. Is only a problem when having to stop whilst it's raining!

Hello chap, just bought one a week ago in the same ceramic! Due to collect it on Thursday coming and am genuinely quite excited about it! Mrs sticky and I had an original Mk1 BBR turbo about 27 million years ago and thought it was about time we got back into one. Spent the last week watching/reading everything I can and then stumbled over your thread this evening and couldn't help reply.
Tried my best poker face at the local dealers week past Sunday but failed miserably, didn't help that it was one of the sunniest days in Scotland that day and THAT colour just looked fab......deal done in less than an hour....can't wait!
Cheers,
Sticky.
