Alfa Romeo sportwagon 2.4 jtd.
5 cylinder, makes a lovely noise (honestly). Not the most capacious but very stylish and excellent value.
Here's mine....

I'd definitely agree - the Alfa's a beautiful car, to look at and to drive. I've a similar problem, my company's looking for a new company car, we drive all day on all types of roads... It's got to be a medium sized diesel, for around £20k - thoughts?

I`m an Alfa fan too but..............
I`ve got two very young kids, regularly go camping,so the car has to carry a double pushchair, travel cots, and I carry a lot of gear around for work, etc.
I tried loads of estates and there was only one which worked for me,the Honda Accord Tourer with the 2.2 I-CDTI diesel.
The 156SW is a lovely thing but is better thought of as a 156 saloon with a little bit of added practicality.
Having said that,my missus has been looking to trade her 147 for a 156sw for a while now.............

How about a Bedford Duple coach, or a JCB Fastrac with a Portakabin trailer - loads of room!!!!

A mate of mine has bought a 330d touring auto. Its a stonking car.

An Alfa will fall apart around even faster than its depreciating, as you probably know. Although the depreciation won't matter if its a company car, but you still don't want to be wearing a path to be insulted at your dealers, do you.
