I collected my new toy from Porsche Colchester on Saturday and I couldn't be happier!

The last GT3RS I owned (a 997 in fabulous Black & Orange) was back in 2007, and I can't believe it has taken me this long to get back in one...well, I can, it's called sky-high residuals!

So, a little about this car:

- January 2016 registration
- 2 previous owners
- 7,850 miles
- 6 cylinder, 3996cc
- 7-speed dual-clutch automatic
- 493bhp at 8,250rpm
- 339lb ft at 6,250rpm
- 1,490kg
- 0-60mph 3.4sec
- 0-100mph 7.8sec
- Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres

Options:

- Ultra Violet exterior paint
- Houndstooth interior
- Clubsport package (half roll cage, six-point harnesses and fire extinguisher)
- Carbon ceramic brakes
- LED headlights
- PCM (Porsche Communication Management)
- Sport Chrono package
- Front axle lifting system
- Porsche Track Precision App
- Full PPF (paint protection film)

The next few weeks will bring a trip to Topaz in London for a full detail then its off to Le Mans for the 24hr Test Day on the first weekend of June. I can't wait!

I think an old colleague of mine was the last owner- can't be many in RHD in that colour and I know he sold it as he emigrated to Oz

Not normally a 911 fan but that looks amazing. Excellent colour choice.

It's a bonkers colour, with a bonkers wing, and bonkers wheels, usually the antithesis of my tastes. For some strange reason, I absolutely love it! biggrin Well done OP

Love the silver wheels and houndstooth seats!

How do you detail a car that has a full PPF?

utterly stunning, what a fantastic colour

i don't like the silver on it, the rims and the spoiler pylon would have to become black to make it 100% perfect, still 99% perfect is not bad lol

Super job that man. Bet you're no shrinking VIOLET!?

Love the houndstooth. It's a great shame that more cars aren't available with similarly interesting and pleasant tweedy interiors.
