L322 Range Rover 4.4 V8

I quite liked the wheels in some ways though would have preferred silver and considered getting them painted.
The side tubes had to go as I was never a fan and they were damaged, so off they came. The grille was also changed back to standard, but I left the rear lights as I think they look a lot more modern and suit the Giverny Green paint. Although that shade is a bit old man, I have always fancied one of these cars in this colour.

£3800 for the car, the wheels were £439 but I sold the 22” ones for £400. It has had a gearbox rebuild in the last year or so and the timing chains done. Currently has 146k miles on the clock.
I did the oil and filters when I bought it. The only major issue so far has been the front prop going, which left me stranded for a bit until recovery appeared. Modified version fitted which set me back about £350 including labour.
All in all not too bad, apart from the fuel consumption!

So much car for the money !
I'd love one but the reliability horror stories put me off.
A friend bought one 18 months ago with 200,000 miles on it, he's mechanically highly unsympathetic and delivers caravans all over the country, incredibly, other than consumables, absolutely nothing's gone wrong with it and it's now on 230,000 miles.

It's complete luck with Range Rovers. If you get a good one it'll go on and on with no issues whatsoever. If on the other hand you get a bad one with electrical gremlins that would make Italians blush then your on the path to potential financial ruin. I'd love one but the reliability horror stories put me off.

Once they go bad it's like flushing money down the toilet so any issues then cut ties and get another one.
