2006 Alfa Romeo 147 Twin Spark 1600cc

Here is my 2006 Alfa Romeo 147 Twin Spark (Turismo/Cloverleaf) 1600cc. I bought it earlier this year and it is a cracking little car!
Backstory: After selling my 206 last year and not driving for a while, I decided to treat myself to a new car. Was looking at standard 1.4 Golfs and 206 on AT, but a black one of these 147 managed to slip through the parameters, about 16 miles away from me. I rang up the next morning to arrange a viewing but it had already sold by 8am! Anyway, to cut a long story short, many 147 viewings later, I found this one in Oldham up for £1200. Was in good condition and had plenty of history. Managed to bag it for £775 due to there being 118k on the clock and the fact there was nothing about it's cambelt ever being changed. A quick book in at a local Alfa specialist and we had the whole cambelt job done within 2 weeks. Cambelt, aux belts, waterpump and cam gasket cover for £500 incl labour, and I had my peace of mind!
It runs fantastically and is so eager to be driven. Easy round town and a blast on the back roads, it never fails to put a smile on your face, had it about 7 months now! It came with some ("17 or "18) Selespeed alloys that I think look great and I decided to add some Cloverleaf badges to add effect. Next up is a brake system overhaul with Brembo parts, a suspension rebuild with up-rated ARBs and a nice little custom exhaust system. Nothing garish or in your face as I can't stand the boy racer aesthetic, just something to keep me satisfied, especially with a trip to the N-Ring in April round the corner!

Lovely car. Next time you are underneath it check for rust and give it some treatment before it gets too far.
Strange wheels though. I don't think they are original Alfa items. Teledials are as the 156 in Paul's post above. Selespeeds are smooth. Yours have distinct spokes and detail around the bolt holes which aren't usually there.
This is an Alfa Selespeed wheel. They were available in 16 and 17" and were exactly the same style in either size.

Thanks! We did have a good look woth a torch and Mirror before we bought it and there's hardly any rust! The brakes and suspension have a bit but like I saod, those are the next to things being replaced, most likely over my 3 weeks off at xmas! Yeah on close examination they do look slightly different from those Selespeed ones you have posted, I just assumed they were Selespeed alloys as at most glances they look almost identical!
