Is it me, or are other DB11 owners disappointed with some of the support technology that AMG have brought to the party?

I’ve got a particular beef with the Satnav system and its unwillingness to store favourite addresses. For some bizarre reason you store them in Contacts and then have to search for them each time you wish to use them, thus delaying the start of your journey (or causing an accident while you take your eye off the road)

I thought a workaround would be using the Voice Command function but it clearly believes I’m speaking in a different language. I haven’t been able to get it to do anything I want yet 😡
And I’m not sure you can ask for a Contact address anyway

Any there’s no default function to remove the annoying Satnav voice

Apart from that I love the car...

Could be worse, you could have the ancient Volvo system AM were using until recently.

That was a poor system in 2007 let alone in 2015/16

I found the voice control almost impossible on the move in my Vantage, because of all the delicious noise. I had to shout at the rearview mirror to get it to hear me.

It might be worth a trip to the dealer who should have someone who knows the system really well and can show you the best way to do what you want to do. Does the DB11 have Merc Command in it? I've got a 2013 C Class and the command is really good, not "Waze" good, but a billion times better than the Volvo nav I had the Vantage. I have "home", recents and favourites stored with little fuss.

Thanks for the suggestion but I did contact the dealer and they were not particularly interested. I also spoke to AM themselves and they couldn’t offer any real solutions, hence I came on here to see if anyone knew of a workaround.
I know it’s hardly end of the world stuff, it’s a great car otherwise. I’m just surprised they got a couple of simple things so very wrong.
