Panda 100hp 'Pandemonium'
Discussion
Hi All,
Thought I'd stick some pics up of my old Panda as know there's some love out there for these and who knows someone here may even know what happened to it!
I bought it brand new in 2007, I wanted it exactly as it was shown in the brochure, so electroclash grey, with what later became known as the pandemonium pack, this actually wasn't an option when I ordered mine, so came to an agreement that the dealer would paint the calipers red but otherwise it would be standard, however I got lucky as half way through waiting for the car to arrive the pack became available and for an extra £200 (from memory) I snapped it up. The kit consisted of red brake calipers, silver mirror caps, silver pin stripe detailing down the sides and shadow chrome effect wheels. In my opinion It made all the difference.
However that isn't the spec your going to see here.. I owned this car for 5 happy years and 75,000 miles, after 3-4 years while things like the wheels/calipers/stripes etc started to look a little tired, and deciding I wanted to make it a bit more individual I made some changes. Ending up with;
Original wheels powdercoated white
Abarth badges and wheel centres
Italian number plates
Italian full stripe
Custom side stripes based on the original design but Italian colours
Red wrapped wing mirror covers
Other than a BMC filter the engine remained stock, and I didn't make any changes to anything else other than new rear shocks when the bushes failed and making sure it was maintained as well as possible/kept on the best quality tyres I could get my hands on.
It was an awesome little machine :-) Sold in 2012 as wanted to start racing karts and I'd had my fun, went to webuyanycar in the end as had a few people messing me about privately. I've not been able to find the car through MOT checks ever since so assume it met it's fate at some stage.. though I prefer to think it's been on a private plate ever since and looked after!
