Following on from my V10 Audi thread, this is the other car taking my fancy at the moment

My first ever car was a 954cc Talbot Samba and I have always had a guilty desire for another!!

A 1400cc cabrio came up on ebay needing restoration and I have spent the last 3 months bringing this one back to some form of condition- having lots of fun on the way

Please dont laugh too much - I like it!

And with the 1400cc engine seen in early 205s, it's not bad - considering how little it weighs

For your pleasure!!!!!

My mother had a pale blue of of these. According to my father it would do 110 - but made a lot of noise about it.

Epic! I assumed it was a Lada/Skoda until I saw the badging. Interior pics please smile

Is it RWD like the Sunbeam driving

Yup. Front wheel drive and from memory of changing an engine on one for my mate's girlfriend the engine sits on top of the gearbox like a Mini but with a chain drive between them.

Typically French, take a common idea and make it a little bit weird!

21 Sambas left according to Howmanyleft, 13 being convertibles.

They were everywhere at one point, now almost all gone, well done on saving one !

Lovely little car, you just need a Horizon, Sunbeam and a Rancho to add to your collection wink
