I bought this 'stop gap' car because I needed a car quickly and I knew the seller. I have been driving new cars for years through work and assumed on my budget I needed to get used to slumming it. How wrong could I be?
I absoloutely love it. It has alot of toys, everything works and it cruises at motorway speeds so well.
It really stacks up against more modern, expensive stuff and I think I will just throw some money at it and do a couple of years with the old girl.

Watch out for the timing belt.

Clean out or remove the egr.

You could even look in to removing some of the breather pipes.

I bought a new golf gt tdi in 1999 from intercar in Holland and it was a great car. Kept it for 9 years and regretted selling it. Just bought it back for £100 but by fk it's been neglected over the last 8 years but I hope to save it and get it back to good nick!
