I bought this XJC about 2 months ago from a gentleman that was moving house and selling off some of his cars. He had owned it for over 20 years, it had been stored in a dry shed but had not been used much for the last few years.
when I bought it the battery had been removed and it had not been started in a while and was last taxed and mot'd in 2012. where it done around 20 miles that year. I got it home on a trailer, put a new battery on, pulled out the plugs and span the engine a bit to get some oil up and around. Gave the points a little clean up and put in some fresh fuel. turned the key and it started right up.
It was fully restored by the previous owner over a 4 year period and is still in great condition.

It was a bit of an impulse buy really, it looks great and is in lovely condition, full restoration photos, history, low miles etc lots of new parts, so when I saw it I thought why not!

I am still not sure what the long term plan is, whether to keep it or sell it, I do have other commitments right now that are using up lots of money, so am not sure what to do. I took it for an MOT the other week and it went straight through, also got it taxed which is now free, so its ready for the road, looking forward to some better weather to put some miles on it.

Great looking car. Store it over the winter then enjoy it in the spring. I'd love a car like that in the garage.

Beautiful machine. I have one of these. Mines a 1/32 Corgi model in exactly the same colour combination.
