1992 Volkswagen Mk2 Golf GTI 20v Turbo......
Discussion
Purchased this car at the start of November and have started collecting parts to fit in the new year. The car itself is in very good overall condition just needs a few tweaks here n there!? The previous keeper carried out most of the works and converted the engine to the 20v turbo. It's got upgrade VW G60 brakes, Coilovers, a Quaife diff within the Gearbox and a set of Ceramic polished BBS RS wheels. It's currently running 290bhp and very quick, grips real well with the diff!

The interior had a standard Rainbow one fitted but that will be changed with 2 front recaro seats and a full retrim in a genuine Volkswagen fabric!

Under all carpets and behind all panels the car has been covered in Dynamat....

The car is in the garage today for an oil service and a full check over including a dyno run to make sure it's running correctly and the map is fine!

Dam tasty.
I an always appreciate a mk2 that has relatively few cosmetic modifications combined with some proper go faster bits.
How are you finding the Quaife ?

Lovely stuff, Richie. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. Who knows, maybe this will help me get my finger out to get the Corrado on the road (by the way, it's Paul from round the corner
)
Hey Paul, this one is a good one fella! Had it out yesterday before taking it to the garage, holy smoke it's quicker than the new S3!!!! Come springtime/summer if you see it in the drive pop in for a chat?!
)I have purchased these Mk2 Electric Recaro front seats........

I will be trimming all seats, door cards and inside the boot with a genuine Volkswagen fabric, I'll reveal which one once I source it?!
I have also purchased a set of Mk2 Sebring wheels that have had a fresh refurb, these will be fitted as I'm sending the BBS RS off to get split, ceramic polished and rebuilt for show use only!

The previous owner had the 'smooth look' on the tailgate, not my style so it will be returned to standard and original badges fitted.....

I want it looking as original as possible bar the engine conversion but that's been done so well it even looks original!!!
