53 Plate Citroen C15 hardest working one left in the UK

Running a small courier company in the middle of Devon has always been tough but the C15 van is my secret weapon
You will laugh but I can maintain them in my own workshop nothing to go wrong and they are bullet proof .
The recent one we found had 75k on the clock with a Mercedes garage FSH now can you believe that ?

After 7 months it now has 115k on the clock so it is doing upto 1500 to 1800 miles a week.

I love these van for their simplicity and reliability I believe the one I have at the moment is the C15 doing the most miles each week in the UK or maybe Europe it is certainly in the top ten
Im looking for another recent one but they are hard to find A couple of year ago I scrapped one with 320K on the original box and engine they are good .
At weekends though I drive a Saab !

As someone who had a Visa while at university I have much love for the C15. It's lovely to see one still out and about earning it's living.

I used to drive a Visa, a B plater I had from 1993-1996. It wasn't the tidiest, and the factory sunroof leaked every time it rained, but it ran and ran, and cost pennies each month to keep going.

I've always liked the C15. I see one on an 05 plate fairly regularly near home - it look nothing like anything else I see on an 05

My old housemate had one. Its roof rack used to 'sing' on the motorway. Used to help him fix it which was rare, but cheap and easy when it did go wrong.

I expect you to report at every 100k until it has at least 400k on the clock. Then it qualifies as a proper courier C15

be more reliable than an Expert or dispatch, no dpf for a start,no bsi units that fail in our wet climate. good old lightweight vans those.

Bravo OP, this post really made me smile. Something genuinely different here - pride in a real workhorse.

I presume the seats are comfortable enough and you use ear defenders or similar to do those kind of mileages though!

Why ?

With a new "Eco" engine they would still work well today (as many do still)

I am not doubting the van at all, just the styling of them,

It would be like Ford still producing the Mk1 Fiesta 10 years ago.

1256 miles oh yes
Monday Mercedes sprinter Luton tail lift Truro to Heathrow ( Oh no that don't count)

Tuesday Exeter to Truro to Nottingham to Exeter
Yesterday Exeter to Shepherds bush to Lynton North Devon to Exeter

My best ever in one shift was similar miles - Bristol - Exeter - Bristol - Hungerford - Bristol - Portsmouth - Glasgow, kip in van for a bit - Bristol.
