I want to make an offer for my mate's sub-50K miles BX16Valve. I think it's the 166hp J-reg model. It's not perfect; gets MOTs but I think someone has kind of bodged the suspension; he says it needs new discs and pads throughout. How much would that be?
It is to me EXTREMELY FAST and the engine braking down thru' the gears is very strong so I guess there's not much wrong there.
What's it worth? I was going to offer £300?? any help would be gratefully received!

I would expect a further £300 on top of your purchase cost would see it right - depends on whats been bodged on the suspension really.

Find a good citroen specialist and the spheres will cost you 30 quid a pop. Easy to replace really, and makes the world of difference.

Good luck, it's a great fun car!

Not if your buying proper 16V spheres. Normal GTi (£18) ones are far too soft for the valver, the 16V spheres are only available from Citroen as no parts suppliers seem to stock them at £58 a pop.
