I think I did something a bit 'Pistonheads' like
Discussion
Over lunch today I 'accidentally' bought an unseen, unregistered R36 Passat wagon with an engine described as 'making a knocking sound'.
I now need to fly for a couple of hours to pick it up and work out how to get it back including an overnight ferry.
Should be a tops weekend. I'll keep you posted.
This is the most PH thing I've done since owning three broken down Alfas.
yes yes 'cool story bro' and all that.

Oooo...looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Funnily enough I've also got a plane journey on Friday to pick up a rare estate that I've yet to see. Mine doesn't have the 'knocking' feature that yours comes with though....
Edit: is it this one?

No mention of the knocking sound, but it's the cheapest on here even though it's the newest. And it's in Derry, Northern Ireland. Good luck, Op!
