But a Punto doesnt have a chassis - its a monocoque where the body is the chassis..... Oh dear..

And the car is now worth £6000? It might be, but who would by it?

Cheers,

Chassis; would suggest you upgrade your ECU first rather than modify further the tupperware blancmange, as the extra liveliness induced is likely to cause mass hysteria amongst the rest of the PH community.

Suitable alternative projects may be found at www.renault_campus_r_us.com which specialise in alternative street sleepers, ie vehicles that have been asleep since their incarnation. These rare cars carry the sanctimonious badge UN rather than the common GT, GTi etc. This excellent feature denotes "Ultra Nice", but us guys in the trade know it really means underpriced, making them a rare bargain indeed. You can even purchase them for £500 if you are quick. I have a friend called dodgy Dave who is very interested in selling several at this price if you are serious and promise that you wouldn't talk him out of it.

The motoring press unfairly critised this marque as unstyled,un-attractive, underpowered, understeering, unreliable and un-exciting, but we all know they were un-imaginitive. Oh yeah, and Dave said as a special offer he would give you a free full tank of fuel if you bought the car, thereby doubling your investment...
