Picked up my new car on Thursday night. Loving it so far. It's a pussy cat when taking it easy and when in traffic but when you put it in dynamic mode and open it up, it totally changes character.
Was orignally looking at a new Golf GTi but I got a cracking deal from Audi Harrogate on this. I think it looks great in Sepang blue and love the interior.
Not sampled launch control yet - looking forward to this!

Nice one! Lovely colour! I fancy one myself, what's the ride like. The previous shape was a bit too firm for me!
Thanks. It's firm but it doesn't bother me to be honest. I wouldn't say that it's overly harsh. Seems more than acceptable in daily life. I've done less than 500 miles so far though!Got one of these as a courtesy car whilst my TT (MK2) is being serviced. Totally different kettle of fish to the TT, absolutely brutal in terms of power delivery and sound. My first proper go of an S-Tronic and it took a little getting use to, but with some early shifts you can keep the power down and keep it tame.
I have to say, that the S Line suspension its much better on the newer Audi's, much more comfortable given how bad some of the roads of got of late in Hertfordshire.
Its put a smile back on my face

nice! when are you getting it mapped?
I don't really want to mess with it whilst in warranty. Apparently, even if the map is removed, the dealer can still see that the ECU has been 'tampered' with, which could obviously cause problems if I had to claim on the warranty for anything.
Although I have been reading up on the MTM Cantronic boxes that can be removed. 350ish BHP and a healthy increase in torque sounds quite appealing.
For the time being though, it is quick enough

Congrats. Nice colour too. Like you, I picked up my first ever "new" car last week and it's a great feeling to see it unveiled at the dealership. I went for the enemy though (M135i). It sounds similar in that it's quite refined and comfy in comfort mode but hit the sport button and it turns into a diffrent car.
Out of interest, how economical are the S3's? I hit 13.2 mpg in my first couple of days but managed to get it up to 25mpg with a more relaxed driving style.
Enjoy the car, looks the business.
Thanks. Enjoy you're M135i, I've heard they are great cars. Out of interest, how economical are the S3's? I hit 13.2 mpg in my first couple of days but managed to get it up to 25mpg with a more relaxed driving style.

I've seen 35mpg on the motorway at a steady cruise but the car has still done less than 500 miles so I assume that this will improve in time.
The figures started to tumble once I got off the motorway and headed towards the Peak District!

Will check what my average MPG is later today.
