Abarth 595 Turismo 160
Discussion
After a few years of enduring several sub £1000 cars, ranging from rattling MR2's to rusting E46's, I thought I would treat myself to something newer & (hopefully) more reliable.
The requirements were fairly simple, something I would not get bored of, looked good & was fairly nippy. Also, only being 21 insurance played a fairly big factor in my choices
A friend had started working at a local Abarth dealer, so I popped down and had a drive and was pretty impressed with the handling and speed of the little Abarth. After going away to have a little think about it I could not get it out of my mind! Which I thought must be a good sign.
So after a few insurance quotes, and phone calls to various garages around the country I was the proud owner of a 2013 Abarth 595
Its a 2013 model with full tan leather interior, xenons & the interscope stereo which is suprisingly good! It is the 160 BHP model so is fairly nippy, and the handling in my opinion is pretty good, especially coming out of corners due to the weight! Certainly surprises a few cars!
Plans are to get a slightly more exciting exhaust for it, love the Record Monza but think I will opt for a custom one due to cost! Also may treat it to a remap.
Anyway enough of my chit chat, now for some pics!

Will update the thread with some more pics when the weather is a little nicer & some videos of the new exhaust!

I can heartily recommend exhausts from G-Tech in Germany.
I had one on mine back in 2009 and it sounded brilliant.
At about 180bhp these little cars really (really!) go well. You will love it, and the pops/bangs from the exhaust always raised a smile with me.
Any idea on pricing for those? That is next on the list a nice exhaust.I had one on mine back in 2009 and it sounded brilliant.

Welcome fellow Abarth owner.
I've got a std red A500, got a readers car thread up sharing my ownership experiences.
What other things do you plan to do?

At the moment I just plan to give it a little remap & get a slightly frutier exhaust, and also tint the rear windows, change the bulbs in the DRLS as they look terrible compared to the Xenons & enjoy it

Let me know what you think.
With regard to the DRL I know what you mean and had same issue. Upgraded mine to PIAA bulbs, nice white light.

Latest picture of the little pocket rocket!
Still really enjoying it, although it is not the best in the wet! Could be to do with the tyres though, on Pirelli p zeros, anyone else recommend anything better?
Had some fun with a t5 s40 the other day, owner didn't look too chuffed at the next set of lights 😌
