Evening all!

First brand new car so thought I'd make it one that I could afford to run as i do 22,000miles a year but something that would still make me giggle like mad when I put my foot down! driving

Anyway, did the usual weekend ramble around the various showrooms, testing out a 208 GTi (not impressed - whiney engine and poor interior) and had a go in an A Class as well as an A1, none of which offered excitement, performance or spec that worked for me.

Popped into MINI to see what the new Coopers were like and got myself a go in the SD. Well, compared to my 325ti (unfortunately now up for sale) it was just as fast if not faster plus it offered double the MPG. Some too-ing and fro-ing was done which resulted in me picking up a Moonwalk Grey Cooper SD 3 Door with the JCW rear spoiler, Chilli Pack, and a bunch of other cool extras.

Apologies, it's my only picture so far!

I've already done 500 miles in it, all of which have been fantastically comfortable or fun. Have a couple of issues to sort out, one of which is a nasty crack that's arrived on the windscreen that appears to not be a caused by an external factor, and the fact that I topped up the washer fluid and now my front washers don't work. laugh Apart from that, it's a cracking car to drive and manages to be the shoe that fits for all occasions.

Great looking cars these. The new interior and general finish of the cars are now leagues ahead of the old models.

Big fan of the car, was bit sceptical with the new styling of mini's (don't really rate the normal models) but in hot hatch form with the bumpers, spoilers etc they look great and really aggresive. Bet the interior is pretty special too

Thanks to both.

It's really got a grown up feel in terms of quality but the design of the interior is still classic funky MINI. I love how quickly the turbo spools on this engine and the psssssht is addictive!

Here from the 325ti thread :-)

Love these! My sister has a 2015 petrol Cooper S which I have borrowed several times and love - she is averaging 45mpg in it too which seems ridiculous for a 200hp 2.0 turbo petrol! I would have one in a heartbeat if I was single as it is as you say a car that suits a lot of situations...
