Interested in identifying the make and model of the car below. It was seen cruising around our estate last week and apparently the guy tried to persuade a young (8 year old) girl to get in it. Would like to identify the make & model if possible.

Looks Japanese to me, but can't be sure.

The pictures below were taken from CCTV footage, and it was rather dark, so they are not best quality.

Full footage is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD3L8Apya08 (car appears at about 16:44:06)

Looks like a Xantia estate to me.

Edit, actually I think 306 as above, the B pillar looks right.

Wow, fast replies - thanks folks. Happy for any additional guesses. I agree - it does look like that Peugeot.

roof rack gives it way as it also looks similar to scooby estate of the same age, however their roof rack is only half way down the roof, like below.

Not sure if you can get the scooby without rear spoiler either.

Also not a citroen Xantia as that would have black bump strip on the door itself.

Another guess (Xsara estate). Still think it's a 306 though.

That's a ZX, not a Xsara...

This is a Xsara.

306 estate is my suggestion, too.

This. Why is it even still up for debate?

To be more precise it's a phase 2 model. Produced between 1997 and 1998. Think by 1999 it would have come with colour coded burmpers.
So I would say R,S or T reg. Possibly LX or GLX model.

It was in Hampshire, near Waterlooville.
