Just thought I'd throw up a few pictures of my first car, picked it up nigh on 2 years ago when I was 17 and spent time practicing driving in it before I took my (full manual) test...Now 6000 miles, one winter and lots of ~150mile round trips under it's belt and hasn't blipped once!

Don't see any others on the road that often unless I'm heading to a show! (See you at Stoneleigh!)

Really nice car mate, looks great. Mum used to have a 1300 a long time ago and loved it to bits, i remember it, had huge character. Especially liked the wooden dash.

Inspired choice for someone our age mate

Very cool. I may be being clueless, but is it a sprint?

See one most days on my way to work.

Nice

Great to see those 70s and 80s cars still on the road, so much more inspired than another Ka or 206

I have a mate who has one of those! He's only 19 so it's his first car as well, but I don't think it's in quite as good condition as yours!!

oooooo good choice sir

I'm thinking of getting a couple of Dollies as courtesy cars As much fun as a Mk2 escort for half the cost and twice the luxury.

Excellent car and good pics. Nice to see a dolly being used properly.
I used to have a sprint, but kept breaking the engine

One of my favourite all rounders was a yellow 2.5pi

Dad used to run many 2.5PIs - all marks 2s though. I love Triumphs but would never run one as I don't have a welder

Triumph were miles ahead of BMW in this era

Dolomite / 1602
2.5pi / 5 series / 2002 etc etc

Damn shame what happened. Who knows if things had been planned better, we would be looking at triumphs that make the M5 look like a duffer.

Sad indeed. Makes me want to go out and buy an XJR..I know there is no relevance with triumph but hey ho...
