We purchased our Astro just over 2 yrs ago, little bit of a mission was involved with this. Spotted it on a well known bid site, seemed to be the type of thing we were looking for, spoke to the owner who didn't seem to know a great deal about it, he explained that he had owned it for 3 months and had come to the conclusion it wasn't for him we agreed a deal on his buy now . The journey began, cab to Norwich, Train to Cambridge another train to London then the tube to the other side of London, and finally a Train to Bristol. We sat on the train questioning whether we were sane or not, But life is short and stupidity can compensate for stressful days. Bristol: the agreement was we would call the seller on arrival, Ring ring, Voice mail, tried again Voice mail "SXXX" we are in Bristol and i cant get hold of the seller, Boss lady is now starting to give me strange looks. Time for coffee. 15 mins later the seller rings, Hes on his way, the instructions are to look out for a black Range Rover Sport. Do you know how many Black Range Rover sports there are in Bristol, " we gave up counting", A over Pimped sport pulled up and we think he spotted us by the were lost look all over our faces. Introductions done we are on our way to view the motor. Plain White Astro with the rear interior missing started on the button and drove pretty well, deal done Man paid.
We are on our way Home. 200 and something miles later and 2 fuel stops we were there. Conclusion it was fair needed a few bits but was happy.

We spent the first year floating around in it with its snow white coat, and fitted out the interior from a donor car we have.
Then the time came to re-colour it, dilemmas Boss lady didn't know and i never know until im finished. but i had a lot of spare paint and this is what happened.

The next Question is do we leave it as a day van or do we turn it into a camper, conclusion is it has traits of an air stream so a camper seems logical or maybe we cut the donor van up and make a sleeper camper with trailer.

Hi , done a google search and found this post , I have now own your old day van for the past 2 years , within that time it has under gone a restoration of the interior and the exterior has been updated with modern lights etc ,
It has now got to the time for the body work as it is starting to show its age .
The thing is I would love to have it resprayed back to as it is with maybe a change of colour , did you spray it or someone else
