Ferrari F430 Spider
Discussion
Those who have read my M3 thread will know I was hunting for a Rosso (red) Spider with tan interior, but in the end I decided I would be happier in something slightly more toned down. I put a deposit on this Grigio Titanio Spider last week and will be collecting it at the beginning of August. The dealer is being very helpful in that respect by waiting for me to complete and move house; apparently a lot of his customers are collectors and don't tend to collect for anything up to six months - interesting!
The car is flawless and I really can't wait to collect it.
The spec is as follows:
2006
27k Miles
Full Ferrari Service History
6 Speed Manual
Grigio Titainio Exterior
Rosso Leather Interior
Carbon Fibre Driving Zone Trim
Ferrari Navigation and telephone module
The Dealer photos:
This thread won't be updated frequently like my others as I'm not planning to modify it in any way
Famous last words..

I think you should ..Famous last words..
You can highlight all the engineering faults and land a multi million pound contract with Ferrari
(Not that I am saying there is anything wrong with this car).

As much as I like understated cars I don't think I could be content of my Ferrari was anything other than Rosso Corsa
Every single thread, i mean EVERY single thread, you seem to come up with new ways of stting on people's parades. I'm astounded, quite impressed actually. Car looks the business OP, dark colours and red leather always seem to work well, and the Manual/Spider combo makes it the last of a sadly dead breed.
Thanks all
I really wanted a manual; that open metal gate is something I always associated with Ferrari. I don't have anything against semi-automated changes - I had an SMG M3 some years ago and enjoyed it - but I still really like changing gear myself.
Grey won't be to everyone's tastes and I do understand why.

looks gorgeous. have read your other threads and had to check this one out (having seen it mentioned in the M3 CS thread)
colour combo is wonderful, cant beat a red leather interior.
my neighbour had an f430 spyder in red with black leather was a little ott but the engine can do all the shouting in yours, just how i like it.

I think it is a childhood thing. As a kid it was always the metal gate that drew my attention, along with the "click" during changes. Like you say Ferrari = open metal gate.aspirated said:

It was a comment on how he would personally spec his ferrari.
The OP's car looking chuffing fantastic! But if i ever buy a ferrari (unlikely unfortunately) it would have to be red, with tan leather interior. Just 'cos thats how i like 'em.
