I picked this up last night.

I wouldn't normally go for a green car (All my previous XJ's have been blue) but i think the very classic colour scheme makes a nice contrast with the (slightly) more sporty look of the XJR.

Its Jaguar (British) Racing Green with factory red coachlines and has an Ivory interior with Black dash/door tops and carpets and dark stained veneers.

Quite nice spec with sunroof, Harmon Kardon, Electric/memory seats, folding mirrors, heated front screen, electric steering column, etc etc....

The last owner had the car for 7 years and did very little mileage (4000miles) in that period. He definitely cherished it though - There are invoices (from local Jaguar Specialists) for nearly £6000 during his ownership and then a further £10,000 of invoices from the previous owner (All from Racing Green Cars)!!! Ans of course a fully stamped service book.

It needs a couple of little bits doing, but nothing major.... I plan to use it as my everyday car.

The Sun came out this afternoon, so i gave her a quick clean.........

Very nice - Your picture shows the green better than my pictures.
My car does sport the original red coachlines (again, they don't seem to come out well in my pictures - I only used my i-phone to take them)

Are you running 500bhp in the car shown in the pic?

Lovely looking car.
What would it be like as a daily driver?
Expensive I guess.

Thanks for the nice comments chaps!

Golfer - Due to the type of commute that i do, i am probably going to average 15-18mpg.
But servicing isn't to bad.

The thing is though, at the price i paid for the car, there is no concern about depreciation and that's probably one of the biggest costs.

I think its great that one can buy a car like this, tax it, insure it, service and fuel it. Have the absolute pleasure of driving around in it. And ultimately it still costs less to run than running a new base spec, small eurobox.

I had to go into work today, and one of our residents asked if he could take a couple of pictures of the car...
Here are the results:

That is a lovely car, but that invoice folder would bring me out in cold sweats, these cars can need some money poured into them!

Hi Richard. Long shot if you're still on here. This was my dad's car just before you, do you know what happened to it?
Cheers
