Would love to see a video of it pulling at somewhere like BruntersCheers dudes. It puts the power down very well as it has very long gears. 1st and 2nd has traction issues, but from 3rd onwards I get most of it down. And for a FWD, it handles superbly well.
The rev limiter is raised from the factory 7000rpm to 8250rpm so I get 130mph in 3rd and 160mph in 4th.
It sure is a mental ride.

There are quite a few 'big power' (400+, or even 500 bhp +) Fiat Coupes kicking around now. It is amazing just what the 2 litre (or in some cases 2.4) 5 pot is capable of. As you would expect, they need handling and braking mods as well, but with the right bits done this sort of power can be put onto the road surprisingly effectively.
I must admit, that before getting into Coupes myself, I was under the impression that anything above 300bhp through the front wheels was completely unmanageable. Not the case at all. My own 20VT is 320bhp and 320ft/lb.

You're right, it was last year at Brooklands. The green one next to mine was Barbz's 2.4 who built my engine.chrisgtx said:

Barmy strokes of genius such as this are why I love modified cars so much. Perfectly understated on the outside, with all the pound notes spent under the skin.
How strong are the transmissions on these cars?
I bet roll on motorway drags are a great laugh with these things, however I'd be interesting to know how well they put the power down on a trackday, and the longevity of the engine.

The gearboxes are a weak point on the cars. It also depends on how you drive it. I've blown up one gearbox so far, but my mate who runs similar power has blown up 4 or 5 in the last year. One person has had his gears cryogenically treated and hasn't had a failure since, so it looks like this might be the solution.
Motorway pulls are crazy fun and you do need a bit of road to get it to the redline. I've never had my car on the track, but the other few with similar power have beaten just about anything out there including most Ferrari's and even Lambo's. The Coupe only weighs 1350kg, so power to weight ratio, there aren't many cars that can keep up.
I'm surprised at all the positive comments as people normally pull their nose up at Fiats.
