xantia diagnostic socket
Discussion
anyone know where the diagnostic socket is on a 93 2litre 16v VSX according to the blurb with the fault finder ive just bought its a green 2 pin socket adjacent to the engine compartment fuse box but i cant find it and its not under the dash either. the haynes manual dosnt cover my particular variant but it dosent show the socket for any petrol xantias so not a lot of use for diy then
just had a reply to my query from manufacturer of fault finder to say the gadget doesnt fit my car
this is a new experience in time wasters for me
the product was clearly marked Xantia on the box and i checked with the store that it worked on my model which they checked on their computer and confirmed
i wasted an hour or so looking for said socket to no avail read right through the workshop manual looking
fruitlessly for inspiration and searched my practical mechanics magazine for anything to no avail
so my attempt at getting to grips with electrickery
has failed
interestingly i found an article saying that these blink code readouts are often spurious
i'll stick to useing my selection of hammers
