With over 50 stories to write it will have to wait!

Serves me right for putting them all in, but it's been fun remembering them, and trying to find the tatty old photographs...

Fair enough.

I started off thinking "that's cool; he's bothered to Google good examples of the cars".

Then I started to notice the same backdrop cropping up in many of them.

Then I started to notice the same driver in many of them...

top marks all round. I guess you haven't moved house in a while?

I'd like to hear some of the stories

Maybe the Healey Silverstone one. Got up close and personal with one recently:

Not since we were married (1960), although we did have to stick bits onto it when we heard about the birds and the bees...

Thats a remarkable Healey Silverstone Ernest - there can't be many left. Did my first circuit race in mine, so it's not a car I can forget!

Yes...

He took first at the Festival Of Exotic Cars in Mount Dora this year. It has quite a bit of racing history behind it as well (starting in Britain iirc). He "found it" (I believe) 5 years ago and spent the intervening years getting it up to spec. Nice chap. I spent most of the show parked next to him and he ran down the whole history of the car, including it's significance to me. However, somewhere along the line that day, I enjoyed a bottle of Kendall Jackson with the wife and the details elude me today...

Cheers
