hey chaps

this is my new SAAB 900S, 1991 LPT..... she's lovely and quick, a bit light on equipement, no leather, ABS, aircon or cruise, but she does 50-80 in less tim than it takes to say "HOLY FUU....."

Those are the best... less expensive stuff to break, and you don't want all that dead weight anyways

If you want a 'luxury' car you might be better off with a 9000 for bang/buck - the classic 900 is all about the driving experience and the cool factor IMO. Enjoy your car!

exactly

I need to get it to idle cleanly, its a bit lumpy and hunts between 500 and 1200, and there is a bit of a whiff of petrol when I plant it, so once thats sorted and some sticky tryes get purchased I'll be on cloud nine

Sounds like a sticky AIC valve. You might try cleaning it using liberal amounts of WD40...
