I have been reading the forum for a number of years and decided it is about time I registered.
This is my fun car, it is an NGTCV8 fitted with a Rover 3.5 V8, makes all the right noises and has enough grunt for me. I bought it six years ago as needing work after being stored in the owners garden under canvas for a few years, I am gradually getting it done with a bit more still to do.

Thanks for the comments, I have always liked these cars since they first came out in the mid 80's, at the time way out of my budget so I had to settle for a Dutton then.
Basically it is a new steel chassis using MGB front and rear axles, main body tub and arches are fibreglass, the bonnet aluminum, the drivetrain is from a Rover SDI being a 3.5 V8 and five speed gearbox. The engine has Rhodes lifters, mild cams, Holley 4 barrel and stainless steel tubular headers and system. I have a 3.9 to put in when I get the time. Luckily the car kept the original donor registration as is tax exempt which means she is driven all year round
The inspiration for the car according to the designer was the Aston Martin Ulster and this is as near as I will ever get to having an Aston martin unless the lottery comes up.
I am gradually improving things as and when I get the chance or inspiration.
Fools a lot of people as to how old it is, but real fun to drive.

How does it drive? I bet with around 230bhp? and little weight its fairly brisk.
I drives fine but in the wet you need to be gentle or the back end breaks away.It is quick enough for me, certainly has not got 230bhp, probably not even 200bhp, I have been in one with a 4.6 V8 churning out 270bhp and that was very fast, plus that one had the full John Hoyle suspension package which improves the ride no end, but just way too much money for me to do.
I am happy enough with it, my friend has a 1952 BSA and we have a good time going to classic car shows together poodling along with the occasional blip of the throttle just for fun
