Just had my new (to me) company car delivered this morning.

Faced with the usual eco diesel that comes with the job, I asked what we had kicking around the pool which I could run to the end of the contract.

Picked up a 59 plate Golf GT 1.4 TSI-160 with DSG and a stack of options, including reverse camera, touch screen 'Dynaudio' entertainment system with bluetooth, and I think the seats with suede inserts are also an option.

Verdict after 140 miles... it's pretty quick, the 7-speed DSG is smooth as Nigel Havers (yes, I had R2 on in the car on the way home), and economy of around 40mpg isn't too shabby either.

So, I snapped a few pics... pearl black is one of my favourite VW colours, but the verdict is out on the beige interior.

I usually love beige interiors but I'd reserve them for big barges, not shopping run Golfs.

That's a nice looking car. Should be fairly economical as well as being quick enough.

Biege for me - not a fan of black and VW go hyper on them.Evo described them as coal mine interiors.
Although beige or any light colur is no no if you have kids

I believe there was also a light grey option, which would have worked better with a black car.

It's not a big issue, and it's a very nice car to knock around in for a couple of years.

Looks good, still the best hatchback IMO. Not sure about the interior though, black leather suits them better.

Good choice. Better than the dervs :-)

Beige is a bit iffy, my car is black with cream leather and think it looks lovely.
