This car is looking better with every update, it's not far off showroom fresh now! I wish I could get mine into the paint shop but it's been on my to-do list pretty much since I got it and I'm no closer to getting the time to do it.
Thanks. It’s getting there, the gloomy days are flattering for the paint…sun less so! I’m impatient, so as soon as my wife got home I braved the minus three temperatures and dark this get the new wheel fitted.
New wheel with the trim from the old wheel swapped over (I did it in the kitchen because it was so bloody cold ).
After scrambling around in dark…
It looks and feels loads better than the very shiny old wheel. I’ll get some better photos in the daylight.

The car nudged over 168k today on the way to the Forest of Dean for a mountain biking trip.
After the return drive it’s a worthy contender for the dirty cars thread!
It was a tad cold today; minus 5.5 when I left and pretty much the same when I pulled up. The spray from the washer jets froze to the wipers so they honked like a seal all the way. Which was nice. The cat didn’t miss a beat though and the new wheel is much nicer.

The old wagon needed some love this weekend after getting plastered in salt on Friday.
Looking a bit better
A better picture of the retrimmed wheel which has really lifted the interior
My wife even commented on how much nicer the new wheel is.
I still need to chance the valve cover gasket and the CCV system, but the recent weather hasn’t really inspired me to crack on with it! I’m sure it’ll get done in the coming weeks.

I may still have some of my old kick plates that I can post to you FOC if you want them. I'm not 100% sure I still have them but I bought a full set when I only needed one or two back when I last had an E91.
Hi. I didn't see Sam respond to this, then mine are a mess and I've been looking to replace them. All the ones I find on ebay are rarely better than the ones I have. Happy to pay you for them or make a charitable donation of your choosing, plus cover postage etc. Cheers, RobMy fiend Andy is selling his E91 330i and very kindly gave me his Armaspeed carbon intake for my 330i.
And post wipe down
Initial thoughts are; it sounds brilliant but the fitment is bloody horrible. When I first fitted it at Andy’s house this afternoon the bonnet wasn’t sitting all that well because the intake was catching on it.
I removed it again when I got home and faffed around. I cut the rubber bung that the intake sits on right down and made the hole for the bolt much bigger. After much faffing, it’s now fitting well enough and the bonnet shuts.

Hang on, just a minute. You trained the cat to play the drums as in car entertainment? Some are going on about dedication, but that's next level!
BTW Sam. I'm taking a Facebook hiatus, it's somewhat unhelpful with my current headspace, I've not unfriended you. As Arnie famously said, 'I'll be back'

That looks fantastic and I bet it sounds just as good. I’m guessing no real power benefit (stock airboxes are normally pretty good in my experience, and absent significant mods elsewhere there’s not much restriction to begin with) but with the howling induction noise of a NA straight 6 who cares? And post wipe down

This reminds me of the airbox on the E46 M3 CSL, which has one of the best induction sounds of any car. If you’re anywhere close to that it’s a definite winner

They claim a power increase but it’s not noticeable via the butt dyno It’s all about the noise which is very noticeable especially as the revs rise; it’s quite loud and much deeper than stock. I was hoping to try and do a few vids today but I can out of time (spent too long riding bikes).
