Just read your entire thread

Love it- a long time ago I had an original 427 Cobra- side oiler, top loader

Lovely car and seriously noisy

Regarding your neighbour 6 houses away I had a similar situation

A rather plump lady marched up my drive- announced she lived about 4 houses away and she was going to call the police- as my car was noisy, - it was in fact just idling

As a lawyer who specialised in suing people all day long I was not bothered about her threat- and found the situation amusing and one where I decided to politely wind her up as much as I could

She approached me with 2 children, one aged about 12 and the other about 8

I was polite, bit irritated at her arrogance and rudeness

I let her rant on uninterrupted for what seemed like an eternity but was probably not more than a couple of minutes

So eventually when I bored of her verbiage I politely asked her to leave at once and to take her twins with her

She called me stupid for thinking her children were twins and advised me this proved how stupid I was.

I of course immediately replied advising her I assumed they must be twins as I found it hard and frankly rather repulsive to think that anyone could have f**cked her twice

She went bright red, left and I never heard or saw her again!

Happy days

Now I have just taken delivery of my new Sunday Toy - a 1981 Corvette C3- fresh from a 2 and half year re-bulid and restomod

Engine is a 383 Stroker from Blueprint

500 ft lbs of torque at 1600 revs is wonderful - touch the throttle at 35mph and 3 or 4 seconds later I am at 80, and if the engine could talk I am sure it would say "Come on , I have just started"

It is insane- a lot of weight reduction such that wet, with full tank, all oil/water/fluids and 75 kb for a driver it stands at 1445 kilos and the road holding is stunning

Only parts on it now that were there when it was built in 1981 in Kentucky are the motors for the windows and wipers

Everything else on it is brand new 2022/2023 technology, so I think it would be called a restomod?

I love it- although am currently running it in

Still 2500 is good for 80 so plenty of fun so far

Enjoy your beast- I love my new toy, it is quicker and easier to drive than the old 427- but the looks of a 427 are so special

Take care
