It does feel like a long time ago now. I do have fond memories of the Z4M, it was probably the best car I've owned, helped by being very tidy (no pun intended). I don't miss the RFL though. Thanks for always chipping in with comments, it's appreciated. smile

Thank you, the risk is high with such a high mileage car, but satisfaction and scenery are the possible reward.

The sound will sadly be a little muted for this trip, with the Z06 manifold and mid-pipe being a lot quieter than the long tube headers. frown

I tracked down a set of Z06 bi-mode back boxes in the states. Transglobal Express (using DHL) once again 'delivered the goods', in quick time and at a fair price too. Importantly, the over-axle pipes and cans on these have not been cut or messed with, so for the first time since I've owned the car the exhausts now fit perfectly, with no rubbing against the diff or chassis and all the tips line up.

Exhaust on the left is half of the old 2.5" piped NPP, the one on the right is the 3" bi-mode.

I've lost my burble on over-run, a little sad about that.

I'd long wished for the front amber indicators to have been brighter. These have done the job (bottom is the new one), much safer in sunlight.

Left is the old LED bulb, right is new.

After my stuck in the sand debacle 18 months ago, I've now fitted a rear hard tow point, from Vorshlag.

I attended American Speedfest on Saturday. Always a good event, although I'll go back to attending on the Sunday next time. Whilst the crowds were far smaller, the selection of cars was less too.

I've removed the rear wishbone bushes, to discover more delrin binding issues. frown

This time I've reassembled using some really thick synthetic grease. Despite rubbing the deposits off the washers and alloy centre sleeves there is still friction and some play as well.

Aside from a final geo set up, change of tyres back to the AD09's I used at Silverstone and a spanner check, I think I'm all ready for the Arctic! I leave on the evening of Saturday 22nd, after working at Silverstone all day. smile

Best of luck with the trip David, is there any way to follow your progress?
Thanks, getting nervous now, less than a week away, final spanner checks and packing now. smile

PH doesn't want links, so I'll just say that clive the corvette can be found on various channels, particularly video. smile

I'll do a full write up when I get back, but Felix and I, together with film team are 4 days in to our trip to the Arctic Circle. It's stunning here and Clive The Corvette is running perfectly.

Here are a handful of phone pics so far...

YouTube short
The first, short video from Norway. Clive is heading north, he's covered 2000 miles so far with no faults.

I can't get the video to embed in this post.
