Defender 110 (I swore I would never do this pt2)
Discussion
Getting really tempted by one of these to replace Mrs Bs Freelander. She gets attached very attached to her cars but beginning to waver after she stuck it in a hedge this week due to the ice.
I like the green but think I would have to go blue with white steelies to match my series Landy.
Where are you in Somerset? I’m SE of Taunton and haven’t seen any snow. Just lots of rain and now sheet ice.

I accept I am biased but it’s one of those cars that looks good in any of the colours and with any level of accessories or not. This is all underpinned by the ability of the basic vehicle. My wife wanted the triple black look to our car but I would have been just as happy with a basic car with white steel wheels.

Guess it comes down to personal opinions. I think they couldn't look worse than in all black. A shame they don't offer any real colours like a nice red or even Land Rover green!300bhp/ton said:

And that’s the joy we all like different things. I’ve seen one in an olive matt green wrap that looked great. I like the Jimny but wouldn’t have one in the colour of yours which I think is possibly the worst colour of those that they do. Guess you pays your money and make your choice.
No you just wanted to insult as I said I didn’t like black Defenders. As for the Jimny. There was no choice. Very limited supply. Took a year of waiting and it was take it or leave it with no guarantee of another becoming available. I was 7th in the queue for this one. But I was lucky I could move on it and others couldn’t. Personally I quite like the colour. Way more interesting than black or white

I was ferried around for an hour in a short wheelbase earlier this week. This was no city dweller, but a working vehicle driven by a quarry owner who despite the cost, gave no f
ks. It was as muddy on the inside as it was on the outside. To say I was impressed would be an understatement, it was as effective, smooth and quiet on and off road.
Quite the opposite from the last old-style one, which was uncomfortable, cramped, and noisy.
Enjoy OP!

Nighty night.
I have a real soft spot for the new defender. Although I have no real requirement for the off road performance it’s just so cool. You’ve got it in the best colour too! I think the adventure pack kit is great but again I personally wouldn’t have much use for any of it, other than the roof rack occasionally.
I did place an order for one of these back in 2021 and cancelled when I found out it was going to be a year long leadtime!
Never had a LR before and the online mumbling about reliability certainly scared me off.

Glad to hear it, what engine was in it by the way? Not that I'm getting one but I'd have thought the 3 litre was the one to go for.![](/inc/images/censored.gif)
