Are there any good driving roads in north east london

Basically, I've just bought a car that is amazingly fun to drive. The problem is, it's difficult to go for a hoon without either sitting in traffic for 30 minutes or driving on a motorway for 30 minutes first.
Does anyone have any ideas about good roads round this area?

it has already been said but you have to try the B184.

Great drive.
the B1051 down to A120 is also good, then you can catch the M11 home. (or do a youturn and go back the way you came)

Could not tell you an exact road, but if you are prepared to venture outside of the M25 there are plenty of fun roads between Ware and Bishops Stortford as far as I can remember.
Whereabouts are you?
The B1004 ends in a superb stretch between Much Hadham (down the road from Ware) and Bishop's Stortford that's very fun indeed. The B181 from Stanstead Abbotts works as a good lead in too. As mentioned, the roads around Essex are great. Try starting from the Loughton/Waltham Abbey type area and heading north on the B-roads. The B184 mentioned above is a very good start - head north past Thaxsted and then pick virtually any road and it'll be good.
Further west, the B158 is well regarded and provides a good link to Hertford where you can head on to Ware/the Hadhams etc.
As a general rule the further out you go the better it gets, but you only need to be about 20 minutes out from the M25 to start getting some really fun B-roads.

I think I called myself Chickenboy in the end, although I gave it up for this far more macho moniker. Do you still keep in touch with any of the old EUK people? I've not played on my PC in years (Xbox and Mac put paid to that). God that seems a long time ago!

I used to live in Chelmsford (now in North London) so that all looks rather familiar! The A12 is standard mind-numbing dual carriageway and the roads around Hanningfield resevoir are fun if they're on your doorstep, but not really worth travelling for IMHO. Likewise, although the single lane stretches of the A414 are a little better than average, they're nothing worth writing home about. Having done it before I probably wouldn't bother with that first bit of the route, but the rest looks good.Coincidentally the eastern side of Essex does have some good roads. There's one near Maldon which is fun (forget which one) and the B1021 from Burnham-on-Crouch is very good.
If you want to head further north and west, I often play with variations of this: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...
(I think the road from Epping to Stanstead Abbotts may be good in places too, one of the roads around that sort of area - north of Loughton/Waltham Abbey - is, but I can't remember which one)
