Quickest Way to South Cornwall
Discussion
I'm travelling down to the Lizard Peninsula at the weekend and wanted some advice on which route to take from Exeter.
I can either take
-the A30 to Bodmin and then the A39 to Truro OR
-the A38 via Plymouth/Liskeard and the A390 to to Truro
I took the latter last year and it was hard work to be honest and the AA routefinder is sending me via the first option.
(I'll in a convoy of 4 slower moving cars with kids on board so fast overtakes aren't an option by the way)
Any views would be very welcome

A30 to Redruth (Scorrier Exit) B3297 to Helston through Lanner and Wendron and then down A3083 to the Lizard.
Used to travel around the whole of Cornwall regularly so I know the roads fairly well, only stalling point is likely to be Innis Downs and Goss Moor and possibly Helston (Flambards traffic) but the latter is almost unavoidable anyway.
Be Careful though, Talivans will be out in force!!!!!
