Was having a perusal of the map, and discovered the A15 has a pretty long straight to me. Any longer ones in the country? With or without scameras?

Only a few parts of the road give good visibilty though which makes you realise how straight it is.

Its not like a long, stretched out US Highway........ In fact I think there's a few roundabouts on it too.

High Roding, Essex on the B184.

Not the longest, and not as straight as it looks on the map. Shame it's broken up by a village in the middle, but a nice long straight nonetheless:

Not quite straight but the M10 is allegedly quite good for top speed runs

The bit of the M11 in the top left of that map looks longer and just as straight to me. Only downside is J8 in the middle of it.

M40 is pretty good in places, particularly around Oxford.

Also, I've found the M11 to be pretty good, sort of up near Cambridge? Surface is a bit cack though...

I believe the longest straight in the UK is the A1198, Godmanchester to Royston.

(It's part of the same old road as the A15, by the way: Ermine Street.)

Not entirely straight, but the M50 is great for a high-blat, and in many years of living nearby I've never seen a cop car there.

B6318 Military Road has some nice long, clear straights on it. Would be very good for vmax but for one small problem - the sideroads and people who just pull out without looking.

I have been told this as well. Explains why my tyres never wear out as it makes up most of my commute each day. Shame it is undulating so few safe overtaking spots (not that that stops a lot of people trying)
