Volkswagen GTI FanFest 2024 - Wolfsburg

Hi all,

We will be driving out to Wolfsburg for the GTI FanFest (26-28 July).

Looking at driving the route via Ghent, Antwerp, Eindhoven etc etc.

Can anyone recommend any nice hotels around the Antwerp area as that will probably be around the half way mark? Trying to stay near to the main roads (I.e. not in the city).

If anyone can recommend any other stop points along that route, I’d be all ears :-)

I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Antwerp, it's conveniently right by the E34 though I'd carry on to the Gr8 Hotel at Sevenum or drop off into Venlo where I've stayed at the Hotel Wilhelmina and the Hotel American. There are plenty of good eateries nearby.

Pity the event is no longer at Worthersee but it was too big for it, even in the late '80s. Have a good time.

I stayed at YUST Antwerp a couple of years ago, which was fine and had a decent breakfast. It is in Antwerp, but on the outskirts and not too far from the ring road. There are also a few places for a drink to bite to eat nearby, including a brewery.
