M25 closure this weekend
Discussion
Just seen that there's another full closure of the M25 this weekend, to facilitate more of the works at J10. Apparently the diversion route is 23 miles against 7 miles if the motorway was open).
Does anyone know just how bad it was last time? Different closure/diversion route this time but still significant. I had made arrangements to do two runs from Brands Hatch to Woking (Brands > Woking > Brands > Woking > Brands) but that suddenly doesn't seem like a very appealing prospect.

IIRC last time traffic was fairly light because of the adequate warnings and lower amounts of traffic. Looking at Google Maps there were about 4-5 miles of traffic queuing at each end.
This weekend could be a lot worse, longer closure, higher amounts of summer traffic, forecast good weather with sunshine @ 22C, and the current queues around the Clackletts/M25/M26 where they are installing the extra emergency refuges. All the local roads are likely to be busy - the A21, A25 etc.
