I'm not even sure what this is called, so couldn't search to see if it's come up before, but...
The wide angle lens doesn't fully convey it, but the tiled bit and the normal bit of road are basically the same width.
This is one of many bits of tiled road that have cropped up locally. The vast majority of drivers will treat the tiles as something to avoid, so will drive around the roundabout in the 'outside' lane, even if turning right. I use the tiles, but back off when a car is directly in front of me, knowing that most won't use it, something compounded by 90% of drivers not indicating at roundabouts.
We also have numerous bends with tiles on the corners, and these weird pavement extensions...
The additional bit of 'pavement' is flat with the road, interestingly (as it's not tiled?!) most drivers will drive over these.

We have quite a few of the roundabouts in North Wilts. Some "tiled" and some just built up with paint. On a motorcycle, you have to be particularly careful of the line you take, especially in the wet, as clipping the "kerb" could have you off. This means I often find car drivers wanting to overtake me as I take the "longer" route around the outside, as they take the shortest straightest line.

You should use them properly, as standard.
The limited space has been extended as the route carries heavier traffic that may require a wider turning arc.
The same traffic calming measures are in place and should be observed.
(Remember those raised stone roundabouts with pretty flowers that used to get destroyed every six months by lorries)

What kind of peaked cap do you sport, whilst standing next to such obstructions to sensible progress, taking number plates of offenders...
And always make a point of driving religiously around white dot mini-roundabouts even when there is insufficient space.
