Plymouth to Chorley, How's this route look?

Last time I drove up to see my parents I went over the Severn Bridge and straight up the middle of Wales.

This time I wanted to do something a bit different. No particular real plan to it currently, just some drag and drop points on Google maps.

Bearing in mind the distance and time is already fairly substantial, are there any alterations you would make to include particularly good roads, or interesting scenery?

Confused by your post though as I read it I understood you wanted something interesting, this is just the obv route and likely to be brain numbing.

Thanks, but that is very similar to what I did last time, hence wanting to head up the other side of the M5 at the start.
