M180 near Shorpe this morning.

Large low loader doing no more than 5mph, full police escort with traffic backed up 3 or 4 miles. Police outriders on the bridges etc.

Was transporting a box around 12-15 foot cubed. Looked a bit like a large Transformer but assuming Nuclear related or atleast something of strategic national importance considering the resources.

It was probably a transformer, we used to lift them off boats all the time when I worked on the cranes. 4 days and about 10 hgv’s to rig a 1000 ton crawler for an hours lift then 4 days de-rig!
They can be over 200 tones if I remember rightly, big operations to move them around the country and any slight incline be down to single digit speeds.

Yes that looks like it.

400 tons wow, doesn't look big enough to weigh that much.

I’m guessing the 400 is the total train weight including the tractor units and trailer with all 10 million wheels.
