I scrolled back about 10 pages and couldn't find anything that specific. But I have just moved to Bristol (on the west side) and wondering if there was some collective knowledge about roads that are worth a blast that are not too far out.

Currently I am heading out on the Avonmouth industrial road to Aust (which can be really quiet at the right times) and heading to Chepstow and onto Usk and that area, but would be good if there was something a little closer too.

I'm in Bristol and I find the roads near Castle Combe are nice. We usually go for a cruise round those roads and then got o Castle combe to watch some track action. Cheddar Gorge is nice I haven't driven it myself but i know there are a fair few police along it.

Chepstow to Monmouth on the A466 and then back on the B4293 is a great loop if you pick the right time.
Appreciate that’s still further out though so doesn’t really answer your question!

The B4325 between Chepstow and Usk is a belter too, drive that one a fair bit.

Indeed, following on from that one you can stop off at Bafflehaus then onto the mountain roads.
