So I need to go to Bethnal Green in London (from Nottingham) tomorrow on the day of the rail strikes.

Many many moons ago, I used to drive to London from Edinburgh but I was young, vigorous and with time on my hands. Many moons ago (must be 15 years ago), I would drive to Stanmore and then get the tube. Google suggests 2 hours to Stanmore and then 1 hour on tube. Google also suggests 3 hours to drive to Bethnal Green.

Any views from folks on driving in London? I have an EV so I am hoping to be charged less for congestion etc.

Thanks from an Ignorant BeeBop

Depending on what time you are travelling I'd come in via the North-East on the M11 to avoid the M25. The A12 through Stratford will probably be fairly busy with a mix of commuter, shoppers, and construction traffic through most of the day so will be a bit of a slog. I'm not 100% as I'm a biker rather than a car driver, but I believe pure (ie. not Hybird) EVs are exempt from the congestion charge / ULEZ zone payments although I think you have to apply for teh discount via the cleaner vehicles discount scheme.

I have no idea on car parking at Bethnal Green though so maybe someone else might help there?

Alternatively )if the tubes aren;t hit by the strikes?) you could drive down to Epping, park at the NCP there, and then jump on the central line down to Bethnal Green which would probably take about 30-40 mins. That would save buggering about with the C charge and ULEZ.
