Hi has anyone driven through parliament Street onto Abingdon road recently? It seems there are signs I hadn't spotted before with no cars between 4-7 but seems to be ignored by everyone, anyone know why? - were these temporary COVID restrictions I just hadn't spotted before?

Yes I noticed them myself a month ago and I think they were put up when the work was going on the week of the queens funeral
Funnily I never noticed them driving and I drive a lot in that area . I only noticed them when I parked up next to the Tate and went for a walk around!

That's interesting - have you ever driven through during the hours of 4-7pm? That's the times it says it's restricted

Well to be honest I thought that I did 3 or 4 times in the past two months but there has been no come back Two of my drivers think they have also driven through and we run 3.5 tonne transits vans

I know I have driven through from the parliament security gate to Millbank tower

I’m sure I noticed it before the queens funeral but couldn’t tell you a date, I was scratching my head as to why they did it. I went through once but it was before 4, every other time I haven’t risked it and just gone over Lambeth bridge and cut down round the bottom of Waterloo round to elephant and castle to avoid the congestion charge if I haven’t been in it already.

Anything to avoid paying TFL anymore money laugh

They've been there for months, lots of people ignore/don't see them.

Cropped up some time during summer I think, for a while there was an 'except for access' sign but this seems to have disappeared. I've ridden through there a few times since the signs went up and not had any issues - although I tend to avoid going through now just incase. I'd be interested into the logic behind closing that bit of road to traffic.
