It's been far too long since I've driven to Limerick so what better than to plan a road trip biggrin

M62 > Holyhead > Dublin > Limerick is the obvious route even M7 to Limerick is deathly dull. I've been down to Cork, stayed over at Killarney and visited Cliffs of Moher but have rarely thought to myself 'that would be a wonderful road to drive on'.

Are there roads in Ireland that can rival the best of Wales & Scotland or is there a reason that most folks drive slightly beaten up Toyota's?

Where are you staying as I presume not doing it in one day?

From Dublin

Basically stay off the M and N roads

Head out of Dublin and go south over the Wicklow Mountains

Something like this
