Idea's for a weeks scenic drive around Europe

Get as far as you can on one day towards French Alps/Geneva. An obvious place to aim for is known as the Andermatt loop, which consists of the Grimsell, Susten, St Gotthard, Furka and Nufenen passes. Many will say avoid Switzerland, but stick to the limits on m'ways/towns, and you don't need to go mad in the mountains to have some fun.
There's more passes if you head back towards Annecy via the French Alps. St Bernard (Switzerland), Petite St Bernard (France), Col d'Liseran for example .

That's just the Western Alps. In the centre, Austria is a lot cheaper than Switzerland and theThere's more passes if you head back towards Annecy via the French Alps. St Bernard (Switzerland), Petite St Bernard (France), Col d'Liseran for example.
mountains are pretty similar. The Tirol is a well known tourist area.
Additional points for doing the Vosges and the Black Forest on the way there & back.

Yes it is, but having done a fair of Austria too I would say it's easier to link together several passes in Switzerland/France as they are closer to each other. Austrian passes are further apart. Northern Italy can be reached from Sw/Fr, and the Dolomites from Austria, so there's plenty of choicemountains are pretty similar. The Tirol is a well known tourist area.
