One of my favourite little blats up to the top of Holme Moss, just have to watch out for the two off camber humps near the top, which I believe are the results of a fault line that runs for miles along the top of the moors.

I'm guessing the skull and crossbones is to warn drivers it's a dangerous junction to pull out of.

If they considered it dangerous back then when the fastest anything coming around the blind bend would likely to be not even doing 30mph I wonder what they'd make of it now with cars regularly coming flying round the bend doing double that speed and a lot more sometimes.

It really is a dreadful junction to pull out of, often a case a case of just hit the accelerator and hope for the best!
