Below is the route that Google recommends when you avoid toll roads. It brings you across the Splugen Pass, which I've been on before and enjoyed it, although it was pitch black. Any other routes that maybe worth considering.

Depending on where you're overnighting you could consider going via Freiberg which is nice, down through the Black Forest and then choosing any number of the wonderful Swiss passes, and into Italy.

West bank of the Rhine through Germany is IIRC limited to 130 kmh and full of Dutch caravans.
East bank of the Rhine is mostly unlimited, three lanes each way and quite busy. Doing over
about 200 kmh is tricky because the 'bahn twists and turns a lot over bridges over tributaries of the Rhine.

The Swiss are punitive about speeding, so there's no point going there. The Austrians are sane
about speeding. 150 kmh in a 130 kmh will not attract any attention.
