Hi all

Looking for some tips to avoid some / all autoroute which whilst efficient will be missing the point of an epic drive in a sporty car with the lad - not looking to see the whole of France / but equally would prefer some twisties, some smaller town/villages that we could stop and explore.

Also interested in an App that might be best suited to "interesting / pistonhead' type of roads than flat out autorouting.

Thanks in advance

Matt

If it’s ‘Hermanville’ in Calvados I can offer insight on the D road from Boulogne to Abbeville (I nipped into Hardelot on the way down and had decided to make it a leisurely drive). This was mid-Friday in September a few years ago.

I think it was primarily the D940 I used. Nice enough, and v. quiet, but nothing special. Really not much more to say than that!

Hermanville - yes.

Think the plan now we are here is to cross country from Abbeville. The way down was fraught with massive delays at Eurotunnel so we just stayed on the autoroute the whole way.
