just before it opened... this curve caught a lot of people out so it did.....

Those lights on the M1 with the massive arms. Did they nick them from greyhound stadiums?

And the old style crash barriers with periodic gaps to allow traffic to switch carriageway during contraflow roadworks - little chance of that in the days of solid concrete barriers, though must be a lot safer.
